John A. Ernst is a graduate of Emory University and University of Georgia, School of Law. Mr. Ernst graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor in Arts in History. After leaving Emory, Mr. Ernst was the assistant to Georgia Governor Roy Barnes. He dealt with the leaders of the state and around the world. Mr. Ernst is a veteran of many political campaigns around the state. He then continued his education and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. During his tenure in law school Mr. Ernst was a member of the prosecutorial clinic where he served as a prosecutor in the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s office.
Mr. Ernst is licensed to practice before all Georgia Trial Courts and the Georgia Supreme Court and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and Pickens County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ernst is a title agent for LandAmerica Commonwealth Land Title and Stewart Title.

Drew attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama and played Division I soccer on scholarship there until 1999, where he transferred to the University of Georgia. Drew graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001 with a B.A in Criminal Justice and a B.S. in Psychology. In 2008, Drew received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. During law school, Drew worked as a paralegal, where he has gained a great deal of experience on several different types of cases and trials that he brings to his practice as a lawyer.
Drew Bishop currently practices Criminal Law and Domestic Relations. Drew represents clients in all types of criminal matters including felonies, misdemeanors and probation revocations. He also represents clients in all aspects of family law including, divorce, legal separation, paternity, legitimization, child custody, alimony, family violence and contempt matters.
Drew, originally born in Australia, moved over to the United States with his family when he was very young. He moved to Georgia in 1988 and has primarily resided in the metro Atlanta area since that time.
Drew is also a member of the Blue Ridge Bar Association. Drew continues to live in the metro Atlanta area with his wife, daughter and step-son.
